Colin Tait is such an amazing instructor. Fitted me in when got in touch and managed to accomplished it as he made everything very clear and understandable. Very clear and patient.

After being a learner driver for more than 20 years on and off and overall lessons was about 35. I gave up for a while, and just got car for going out with my brother sitting by my side so I could learn. I used other schools, but nothing like this one. I got instructed by Zaher which I had about 9 or 10 lessons with. Zaher was very professional and kept me right all the time. He told me he worked through the smart way driving school. So after all that I sat my Practical test on Wednesday the 25th October 2017. All thanks to Zaher and the smartway team I passed first time. Great experience and my instructor was very good and very experienced. Thanks very much to you all.

I highly recommend Colin Slight he was a great instructor, he got me a pass on my test first time. He has a really busy schedule but he always makes time for you and is just a great guy, he has good chat too which always helps calm the nerves, thank you for the great servis Colin all the best for the future.

I can\'t recommend \'The Smart Way\' enough, I was let down by another instructor and needed lots of lessons quick. Ray understood the situation and did some rejiging with our calanders and got me in, he was so patient and understanding, he really focuses on his students being safe confident drivers, not just passing a test! (Although thanks to his tuition and encouragement I did with 2 minors!).

Well she is the only reason I passed my test!
I used to say that Mandy was my Councillor as well as Driving Instructor. She is such a kind honest hard working person.

Throughout the course of my lessons I often heard of students coming on board with Mandy with their horror stories from other instructors in West Lothian which was frightening really! Why bother going through all that - go to Mandy first.

Her way of explaining things is exceptional. Mandy remains calm at all times and shouting does not EVER come into the equation. Her instructions are clear and concise which prepares you for your test.

I write this review in the hope that somebody pays attention to it and gives Mandy a phone call. I have already passed her number on to so many people and they have all passed as well!

I just passed my driving test this afternoon! Ray has been an inspiration to me, after the instructor from hell, I thought about giving up until I found Ray. I then found the smart way driving school and after just one lesson with Ray my confidence was back and I really started to enjoy my lessons again.
Ray was very patient and has a fantastic attitude so I was very calm and relaxed in all my lessons.

Ray is an awesome driving instructor. Not only is he technically brilliant he is also an excellent teacher who really understands how to take care of his students and get the best out of them.

Before I started with Ray I had tried to learn to drive with various other instructing schools but none of them even come close to the standard of Ray.

Ray really is the best driving instructor you can possibly have, it\'s as simple as that :).

Started taking lessons with Colin on 15th Febuary taking 3 lessons a week. Passed test on 5th April. Colin was an amazing instructor and very good in his instruction. I recommend the Smart Way fully to anyone who wishes to learn to drive.

Great results with Ray; his style of teaching is relaxed but focused. Excellent way of teaching maneuvers with markers. His emphasis is initially on the main safety aspects of driving and he introduces the finer points as you progress. This allows you to build confidence. The Smart Four-Four car (automatic) is a bit clunky, as compared to say a Ford Fiesta (automatic). That being said, I will be buying a Smart Four-Two, now that I have my license!

Ray was recommended to me by another driving instructor as i was intentionally going to test for my automatic licence, after changing my mind i stayed with Ray for my full licence for which i have to commend him on his approach, manner and professional way of teaching, at times it felt more of a social get together than a lesson as we could converse all day like a couple of old yins but i passed first time and only after around 7 lessons with previous driving experience so no matter how i was taught the quality of his work is my reward. Many thanks Ray Lynch and to The Smart Way, its the only way.

Ray is a very friendly and approachable instructor who has the best interest of the student at all times. When in the car with him I felt confident and safe. The instructions he gave were backed up with information sheets after lesson to reinforce the knowledge gained. I would highly recommend Ray to anyone thinking about learning to drive. He does not only teach you how to pass your test but prepare you for life driving on the roads thereafter.

The Smart Four-Four car (automatic) is a bit clunky, as compared to say a Ford Fiesta (automatic). That being said, I will be buying a Smart Four-Two, now that I have my license! 5.0 out of 5	Ray was recommended to me by another driving instructor as i was intentionally going to test for my automatic licence, after changing my mind i stayed with Ray for my full licence for which i have to commend him on his approach, manner and professional way of teaching, at times it felt more of a social get together than a lesson as we could converse all day like a couple of old yins but i passed first time and only after around 7 lessons with previous driving experience so no matter how i was taught the quality of his work is my reward. 5.0 out of 5	Ray is a very friendly and approachable instructor who has the best interest of the student at all times. When in the car with him I felt confident and safe. The instructions he gave were backed up with information sheets after lesson to reinforce the knowledge gained. I would highly recommend Ray to anyone thinking about learning to drive.
